<p>“The Builders” is a group of three stained glass windows depicting Solomon, Hiram, and Hiram King of Tyre. The original windows are all located in the Tomkins Memorial Chapel located on the grounds of the Masonic Home, in Utica, New York.</p>
<p>The King Solomon window was commissioned by Kane Lodge #454 of New York City and was the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany. It was commissioned in honor of M.·. W.·. Joseph Edwards Simmons, and is therefore known as the Simmons Memorial Window.</p>
<p>Hiram Abiff was designed by Brother Charles Snell, a member of Alma Lodge #728 of New York City. It is in memory of M.·. W.·. John Stewart.</p>
<p>Hiram King of Tyre was commissioned by the Staff of M.·. W.·.Townsend Scudder, and is also the work of the Tiffany Studios. The scene depicts First Kings, Chapter 9, verse 11.</p>

<p><strong>Historic Masonic Bible of Saint John's Lodge</strong><br /> Lastly, but certainly not least, we invite you to view the display of the historic Masonic Bible of our Saint John's Lodge No. One, on which the father of our country, Brother George Washington, took his oath of office as President of the United States of America on April 30, 1789. This precious Masonic and National Treasure is frequently on display at Federal Hall located on Wall Street, New York City. This King James version Masonic Bible has been subsequently used at the Inaugurations of Presidents Warren G. Harding in 1921, Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953, Jimmy Carter in 1977, and George H.W. Bush in 1989. The Masonic Bible was brought to Washington, DC to be used at the Inauguration of President George W. Bush, but due to inclement weather another Bible was substituted.</p>
