FACTS ON THE 227TH COMMUNICATION

[ ]

I hope this message finds everyone well and staying warm.

This year's Grand Lodge session promises to be a great weekend of events as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our Masonic Medical Research Laboratory and the 227th Annual Communication of our Grand Lodge.

The Convention Committee has worked very hard to arrange for more rooms at the headquarters hotel and the Marriott Hotel across the street, in East Elmhurst, Queens. They have arranged for a rate of $149.00 per night per ROOM and because the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory is hosting the celebration and the Communication, you will only have to pay $3.50 per ROOM per night in additional fees. The rooms are all double occupancy.

You are invited by R.·.W.·.Joseph M. Keeler,PDDGM, NYCHIP Executive Committee,FASNYCHIP, Chairman to the following Training Session.

Dear Brothers:

As you are aware our Grand Master has stressed the importance of our Child ID program
as a Community Service for our Lodges. This vital program is designed to help find Children in the event they go missing.

Many of our Districts have purchased the equipment, but are struggling to have enough volunteers for this equipment. We cannot place the burden of conducting this program on the same brothers, we need more TRAINED volunteers.

This equipment is not cheap and should not be used by UNTRAINED people; the net result could damage the equipment. Our NYCHIP State Chairman does not want any undue expenses to repair equipment caused by untrained people operating this equipment.

State Fair, Syracuse NY; The Western Region steps up to the plate.

Carole Stevens’ reports the Western Region headed up by R.•. W.•. James E. Sullivan; did an outstanding job yesterday. According to Stevens; it was nice to have a full staff all day for all 3 shifts. Congratulations to the Western Region for their team approach to help this community service program supported by Most Worshipful Grand Master Edward R. Gilbert, Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York.

Remember, this program is for the Children, one byproduct is Membership retention and growth. Keep up the great teamwork in this jurisdiction.

Congratulations; Yesterday at two different events, Masons process over 450 Children.

Yesterday; at two locations, Safe Kids – Strong Kids (C-S-T) District and New York State Fair (Onondaga District) processed 458 children. Both districts received help from outside their respective districts. Team work is the only answer. Keep up the great work as we toil in the Masonic fields.
