Ionic Room

IONIC ROOM

One of the most beautiful rooms in Masonic Hall, the Ionic Room is decorated in the Mediterranean motif from which it derives its name. The dominant features are a series of Ionic columns ringing the room, which are made of plaster but have the highly realistic appearance of glazed white marble.

Here, the artists’ fine color work is seen in exquisite detail. Mixtures of green, lavender, red, and yellow colors are set off against the stark beige carpet and dark brown benches.
