M∴W∴Vincent Libone Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York
M.·.W.·. Vincent Libone of Bayside was recently elected to his first term as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of the State of New York. Grand Master Libone had previously served as Deputy Grand Master from 2008-2010 and as Grand Treasurer from 2004-2006. As Grand Master, Grand Master Libone will carry out the executive functions of the Grand Lodge and the such duties delegated to him under the Constitutions of the Grand Lodge on behalf of the 47,000 Masons in the state of New York.
Grand Master Libone recently retired as the President of the Enobil Partition, Inc. in New York City. He has previously served as an interior general contractor.
Grand Master Libone said, “I will work and strive to accomplish the coming together in harmony and unity of our brethren.
Grand Master Libone’s distinguished Masonic service began in 1973, when he was raised in Garibaldi Lodge No. 542 in Manhattan. He has served as Grand Marshal (1998-2000), and has been a member of several District and Grand Lodge Committees, including the Grand Lodge Convention Committee, for which he was Vice Chairman from 2002-04; he was a consultant to that committee from 2004-06.
"For almost 35 years, Brother Libone has demonstrated his commitment to his fellow Masons, and to the betterment of his community and of the fraternity,” said Past Grand Master Edward G. Gilbert in commenting on the election of Grand Master Libone. “In his professional life and in his family life, I have known Brother Libone to adhere to the Masonic virtues of friendship, moral values and brotherly love. I am proud that he will serve the Grand Lodge and its members as Grand Master, and I look forward to working with him.”
Grand Master Libone is a lifelong Queens resident; he currently lives in Bayside with his wife, Virginia. They have two married daughters and three grandchildren

Deputy Grand Master

R.·.W.·. James Sullivan of Lockport was recently elected to his first term as Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of the State of New York. Deputy Grand Master Sullivan had previously served as Junior Grand Warden from 2002-2004, Senior Grand Warden from 2004-2006 and as Grand Lecturer from 2006-2008.
As Deputy Grand Master, Brother Sullivan will carry out the executive functions of the Grand Lodge and the such duties delegated to him by the Grand Master Vincent Libone under the Constitutions of the Grand Lodge and on behalf of the 47,000 Masons in the state of New York.
Deputy Grand Master Sullivan attended the State University of New York at Potsdam (Mathematics), State University of New York at Brockport and Niagara University (graduate studies in Math, Education and Computers)
Deputy Grand Master Sullivan married Gail Hetherly in June of 1969. They are the proud parents of Michael and Lynn, and the proud grandparents the most precious gifts in the world, Alexandra, Nick, Ben, Josh and Sarah.
Deputy Grand Master Sullivan believes that our Brothers are the greatest asset and all Brothers need to get involoved in the Craft.

Senior Grand Warden

R∴W∴Thomas M. “Tim” McMullin of Endicott, New York was recently sworn in as Senior Grand Warden for the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of the State of New York. As Senior Grand Warden, Mr. McMullin will assist in the affairs of the Grand Lodge and will also carry out tasks and activities as directed by the Grand Master, Vincent Libone, on behalf of the 47,000 Masons throughout the Empire State.Brother. McMullin, commenting on his election, said “Across the state, Masons support a wide range of community service projects that make a difference, especially in the lives of children. I look forward to my role in continuing the Masonic tradition of helping others, building character, enjoying the camaraderie of friends, and assisting our Grand Master over the next two years.“Brother McMullin was raised in St. Mark’s Philetus Lodge No. 1001 in Vestal, Broome County in 1988. He served as Master of the Lodge in 2000 and in 2001. Brother McMullin is also a member of Johnson City Unity Lodge No. 970, is a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite, and is Past Potentate of the Kalurah Shriners. Since 2004, he has served as Chairman of the Grand Lodge Committee of the Masonic Student Assistance Training (MSAT) program, which helps school staff to identify students at risk.Brother McMullin and his wife, Elaine, live in Endicott, New York and have two grown children: son Sean and daughter Carrie. He retired as principal in the Vestal Public School system, where he also taught high school mathematics. For eight years, he was an active volunteer member of the American Red Cross Disaster Services, which included a two-month stint managing the Disaster Assistance Service Center at Pier 94 after the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks.

Grand Treasurer
R∴W∴William J. Thomas
Brother Thomas is a frequent lecturer on various topics of Masonic interest, including history, biography and ritual. He is a Life Member of the Philalethes Society, and founded its Knickerbocker Chapter in New York City. He is a member of New Hampshire’s Anniversary Lodge of Research. Brother Thomas has hosted a number of research programs for the Masonic Library on a variety of topics, including the 2008 State-wide tour with the Library’s Processus Contra Templarios, acquired from the Secret Archives of the Vatican. Right Worshipful William J. Thomas is the Past Master of Shakespeare Lodge, and of the American Lodge of Research of the Grand Lodge of New York. He was previously a Trustee of the Chancellor Robert R Livingston Masonic Library of New York. Brother Thomas was District Deputy Grand Master of the Sixth Manhattan District 2004-2006, under Most Worshipful Edward R. Trosin. He also serves on the Committee on Unity for the Grand Lodge.
Brother Thomas is active in all the York Rite bodies, and serves as the Secretary of the Thomas Smith Webb Chapter of Research. He is Recorder for St. Paul’s Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, and was recently inducted into the York Rite College. He is a member of the Valley of New York, Scottish Rite.
Brother Thomas is a retired Enforcement Branch Chief for the New York office of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. He is currently in private practice with his own company, SEC Intelligence, in New York City. His work includes forensic accounting, accounting fraud, due diligence, anti-money laundering and corruption cases involving the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act. Brother Thomas was also previously a Federal Special Agent with Navy Intelligence, and a peace keeper with the United Nations in Somalia.
Brother Thomas is a US Military veteran, and honorably served with the US Navy during the Viet Nam era. He is a member of the American Legion and the Military Order of the World Wars.
He is a member of the International Association for Asset Recovery and the Swiss American Lawyers Association of Greater New York.
Brother Thomas and his wife, Susan, live in mid-town Manhattan with two cats, for whom they serve as staff. They attend St. John the Evangelist Church on East 55th Street in Manhattan.

Grand Secretary
R∴W∴Gilbert Savitzky
R.·.W.·. Gilbert Savitzky of Forest Hills, Queens was sworn in recently for a fifth consecutive term as Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons, State of New York.
Mr. Savitzky oversees day-to-day administration of the more than 220-year-old fraternal organization in New York, one of the oldest Masonic Lodges in the world, comprising 47,000 Masons throughout the state. Mr. Savitzky is a retired New York State real estate agent who previously owned his own retail textile corporation.
After beginning his Masonic career in 1963 at the John Hancock Lodge No. 70, Mr. Savitzky became a District Deputy Grand Master in 1979. He also served as Grand Treasurer from 1989 to 1990 and was a founder and State Chairman of the Grand Lodge “Masonic Toys for Tots” Program.
Mr. Savitzky is a lifelong resident of New York City. He and his wife Barbara have two grown daughters, Margie and Lisa.
